Over the past few days, students took part in a fun “Summer Send-Off” event hosted by our Literacy Coach, Lisa Kucia, and Math Coach, Kendra Johnson. Each student got to choose one brand-new book and one gently used book to enjoy over the summer. Third graders also received a special book from our DYI Literacy Coach, Jen Demango.
A representative from Rockland Trust stopped by to encourage summer reading and shared an exciting incentive: students who read books and then visit the bank on Station Avenue can earn $25!
Students also brought home a packet of math games from our Eureka Squared math program to keep their skills sharp.
We encourage all families to keep reading and playing math games throughout the summer—and most importantly, have fun!
Thanks,
Kendra and Lisa
