ELA MCAS

Strong Start for SAE

The preliminary MCAS data is in!
Our third graders at Station Ave made tremendous progress in math. We also reversed a trend in our ELA (English Language Arts) data! For the first time in almost ten years, we did not see a decline in our ELA performance. All of this progress speaks to the dedication of our teachers, support from families, and a strong commitment to improve our achievement. While Third Grade MCAS is a snapshot of our global performance, it does speak to the instruction and increased rigor our teachers provide from Kindergarten through Third Grade. We have identified areas for growth in both subject areas and celebrated the high leverage practices that lead to this growth. I would like to commend all of the teachers at Station Avenue, from all disciplines, for their collaborative dedication to strengthen student outcomes. I look forward to supporting this continued growth in the years to follow.
Sincerely,
Valerie Kelly, Principal

Scholastic Book Fair! Week of 10/20-10/24

SAE is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair the week of October 20 - October 24.
Check out our Book Fair website: SAE Book Fair Homepage If you would like to shop with your child, please see the schedule above and plan to join during their class block. The Book Fair will also be open on Parent Conference Days until about 3 PM if you would like to shop then as well.

We encourage parents to use the site to set up e-wallets for their students, take a peek at what will be offered, and learn about Share the Fair (a giving program that benefits students at our school who need help buying new books).

Are you interested in volunteering? PTO is in need of support, even if it is for 1-2 hours! The Sign Up Genius link for event volunteers is SAE PTO: Fall Scholastic Book Fair
