Our Grade 1 team is hosting this month's All School Meeting on Friday February 13th at 9:30 AM in the SAE Gymnasium! This All School Meeting will focus on showing kindness to members of our community who are often overlooked - the animals waiting for homes at our local MSPCA.
Together, we can show that animals need love too through acts of giving and compassion.
For the entire month of February, our school will be collecting donations such as unopened pet food and treats, toys, and gently used cat beds to support these animals.
Donations can be dropped off at SAE through February 27th and will benefit the MSPCA Cape Cod.

Thanks to the initiative and hard work of Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Gallagher, our school has been awarded a grant from the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod! This funding allows our entire kindergarten grade level to attend a free performance of Click, Clack, Moo at the Harwich Junior Theater Company on Tuesday, February 10th. We are incredibly grateful for this exciting enrichment opportunity!

We are so appreciative of Cape Cod 5's generosity
and look forward to seeing these funds put into use in our building and programs.

We welcome students to share Valentines!
To ensure everyone is included, please bring a complete set for the whole class if you choose to participate. We ask that Valentines do not include food or candy.
We know writing a full set can be overwhelming for children, so here are a few tips to make it easier: try breaking the task up over a few nights, using initials, or using a name stamp. Hope this helps!

We are looking for cardboard cereal boxes, small applesauce plastic cups, and toilet paper tubes for a library project. If you have any of these recycling items at home, please share them with us.
Thank you for your help!
Happy reading,
Ms. T

Please also clearly label your children's winter clothing with their name to help avoid lost or missing items.
Thank you! Stay warm this weekend!

Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod has announced that applications are now available, with a deadline of Tuesday, March 31, 2026, for one three-bedroom home at 26 Horne Avenue in Pocasset (Bourne) , two homes (one two-bedroom and one three-bedroom) on Mackie Drive (at 3571 Main Street) in Brewster, and four homes (all three-bedroom) at 805 Gifford Street Extension in Falmouth. The homes will be a mixture of ranch and Cape styles.
The maximum household income for the houses is 60% of the area median income for Pocasset (Bourne), one home in Brewster, and two homes in Falmouth, and 80% for one home in Brewster and two homes in Falmouth. For a four-person household, the current maximum income at 60% is $80,100; at 80%, it is $106,800. These income guidelines are adjusted annually.
The applicant household must be willing to commit 250-500 hours of sweat equity to build the home and have a housing need. The monthly housing payment (mortgage, taxes, insurance, homeowners association) for these homes is estimated to be around $1,562 - $2,071, depending on the cost of taxes, insurance, changing interest rates, and other terms.
The deadline for application submission to the Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod office is 3/31/26. More information about applying for a Habitat Cape Cod home is available at https://habitatcapecod.org/.
