Meet our New Assistant Principal, Martha Wiley!

Please join us in giving Martha Wiley a warm welcome to Station Avenue Elementary. Martha joins us with over 30 years of experience in Elementary Education. She has worn nearly every hat across her career spanning from teacher, to administration, and most recently working with DESE to support HMH (literacy curriculum) adoption. Martha hit the ground running with us this summer and has immediately become an essential member of our team. She will also serve as our 504 Coordinator for the building. We're very grateful to have such a seasoned and dedicated educator join us. Welcome, Martha!

Station Avenue Annual Open House!

Mark your calendars! We invite all families to join us on Tuesday, September 22, from 6:00 PM to 7:15 PM for our annual Open House. Come explore our school, meet our wonderful community partners, and see what makes Station Avenue so special.

Event Schedule:

6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: All Grade-Level Classrooms Open
6:15 PM – 7:15 PM: Related Arts, Multilingual Offices, and Program Spaces Open

In the Cafeteria & Library: Connect with community representatives from the PTO, AlphaBest, and the Girl/Boy Scouts.
In the Library: Preview the exciting future of our school! View the design renderings for our upcoming Library Redesign Project and learn about our fundraising goals.

Exciting Summer Upgrades in Our Building!

Over the summer, our team worked hard to refresh and improve our school spaces. We cannot wait for students and staff to experience these positive changes:

Library and Learning Spaces

A Fresh Library: We installed new carpeting, painted the walls, and rearranged the layout.
Future Library Redesign: A dedicated committee is already planning a major upgrade featuring modern furniture, new maker space stations, and an expanded book collection.
New Small Group Tables: We replaced damaged tables so students and staff have sturdy, functional work areas.

Comfort and Lighting

Brighter Lighting: We replaced the entire building's lighting system to make every space feel brighter and more welcoming.
Better Student Seating: Students across three grade levels received comfortable, flexible new chairs.

Facilities and Programs

New District Program: We opened a new, specialized district-wide program to support students with intellectual disabilities.
Fresh Paint: Several classrooms and an entire hallway wing now have fresh paint.
Floor Repairs: We repaired broken tiles and installed brand-new tile in multiple office spaces.

Want to get involved? Join PTO!

Station Ave might just have the best ever parent crew running PTO. We are looking to expand the team and are hoping you might consider joining. PTO has the first meeting on 9/16 at 6 PM. We will have cheese pizza available. Children welcome. We meet in the SAE Library. Hope to see you there!

Picture Day & Volunteer Opportunity

Smile! Station Avenue’s Picture Day is scheduled for Tuesday, September 22. This year, the District has partnered with Legacy as our official photography company.

Legacy is looking for three parent volunteers to help the day run smoothly. As a thank you, volunteers will receive a $50 credit toward their child's photo package!

What you’ll do: Help students look picture-perfect and assist with managing student QR cards.
How to sign up: Email Ms. Kelly (Principal at kellyv@dy-regional.k12.ma.us)! The first three parents to respond will be selected.
